AWE!!!! I had such a lovely time with these two, shooting their intimate wedding at Dogwood Canyon in Ridegdale, MO last week! Cassie’s face had such a beautiful glow all day, and Eric was such a gentleman…these two were made for each other! I expressed how much I love watching couples in love, and Cassie says to me, “even though their were kids crying during the ceremony, and it was raining on her wedding day, all she could hear was the preacher’s words & the waterfall outside of the chapel, and all she could see was Eric’s face looking at hers”….Once again, I’m privilaged to witness love, and feel grateful that I’m a wedding photographer! Congratulations to you both! May Love always be in your eyes! xoxox…here’s to art, love, & laughter….
LET THE VENUE INFLUENCE YOUR COLOR PALLATE: Think about the decor of your ceremony venue, also take into account your reception location too! If you will be getting married in an informal atmosphere, the florals can be kept to a minimum, the larger granduer locations you will need to have more florals to make more of an impression in a larger space. Remember though, you can most certainly bring your ceremony florals, to your Reception room. Just remember to have a trusted friend/coordinator, or florist take them right after the ceremony while you are doing family formals and set up the reception hall.
FLORAL DESIGNER OR FLORIST:
Needing someone to help design the room for you, someone who has an eye for decor, and has worked at your particular venue before? Then you will need a Floral designer, not just a florist.
FLORALS CAN BREAK THE BANK:
Remember the tip I gave before about using the same florals for the ceremony and reception? If you can make that happen, I would certainly try too, flowers can be expensive! All that being said, I do feel like you need to spend the most you can afford on the bridal bouquet. The bouquet is a center point of the wedding flowers, design this first, and it will help you make coordinating bridesmaids bouqets, and other arrangements from the inspiration of the bouquet.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR FLORALS:
The bouquet will need to be well constructed to make it through the day as well. It will be with you the entire day, so make sure it will last! Keep a vase of water ready for the bouquet to drink up much needed water, especially through the hot days of summer!
WHAT SEASON YOU ARE GETING MARRIED DETERMINES THE FLORALS TOO:
Talk to your florist about what’s bloomin that time of year! You will be glad you did, because out of season florals are much more expensive, and hard to find too!
THE STYLE OF YOUR WEDDING CAN HELP WITH DETERMINING THE BEST FIT FOR YOUR FLORALS:
Classic style? Bunches of Roses, and Peonies, in Reds and Pinks.
Romantic? Soft pastel color florals make a sweet impression!
Minimulist? Long, sleek, and slender florals will work best.
Country/Rustic? Sunflowers, and daisys, bright and happy florals!
Modern? I’ve seen lots of succulents, and soft greenery latley!
Trendy: Pecock feathers, and even fruit would be something new and fun!

Branson Hills Golf Club is located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, in Branson, MO. The building has tall ceilings, and a huge wall of windows facing a large deck, and the greens of the golf course. This shoot was organized on a quintessential winter day. The air was perfectly crisp, yet quite warm for January, and perfect to get 2 locations into this shoot! After finishing up at the Country Club, we whisked them away while the sun was just starting to set over the mountains. Organizing the shoot was really enjoyable, with many talented vendors so excited to join.
The models dress was selected by Sarah, and I as soon as we saw it at “Touch of Class”, we knew it was the one! It was perfect for this soft/romantic shoot, & added a ethereal feel. It almost appears as if she is in a dream. We hope this styled shoot inspires many of you to plan a wedding in not only this gorgeous venue, but in this sweet little town we call home, Branson…
Thank you to these talented wedding vendors, and also to our real life, husband and wife models, Mishay & Xase Westfall, for volunteering for us! Enjoyed having their sweet little guy, Cruz hanging out with us during the shoot too!

Enjoyed capturing a sweet and intimate wedding at Dogwood Canyon Park last December. You would not have believed that it was even December though! The teperature was a warm 70 degrees! That is amazing for a Missouri Wedding! This was truly a memorable wedding for me because after the ceremony we took a handful of photos with family, then just Lindsay, Craig, and I ventured off into Dogwood Canyon to explore the beauty of the park, and the wildlife! Another memorable moment, is when Lindsay told me that her husband, Craig, truly enjoyed taking photos that day with me, she said he never enjoyes getting his picture taken, but had such a blast shooting with me, that i made the process fun! Thank you Linsday and Craig for choosing me to photograph your wedding day memories!….Sheri
